The United Kingdom installed 44% of European panels, and 7% of global panels in 2015.

The United Kingdom is the European country with the most solar systems installed in 2015 (3.5 GW) compared to the 8 GW in Europe and the 50 GW connected worldwide according to SolarPower Europe, which justifies its lower estimate than that of BNEF at 57 GW or GTM Research at 59 GW, which accounts for deliveries of panels or panels installed.
Despite the changes in tariffs, the United Kingdom could remain No. 1 in 2016, even with 1.5 GW installed, as there are many projects in progress.
