Panel without glass
Chinese panel manufacturer Sunman has launched a new 430W glass-free panel that offers an efficiency of
19.3% and weighs only 11.2 kg. It is produced with fibreglass-reinforced plastic, which the manufacturer says reduces light reflection and opens up new assembly options. The panel has the same robustness as glass panels. The cover is similar to a flexible 'sun skin', 70% lighter and up to 95% thinner." Its size is 2,125×1,051x35 mm. It consists of 144 semi-cut monocrystalline cells, a white back sheet, an anodised aluminium alloy frame and a junction box with an IP 68 rating.
