In brief of the power plants: Planète Oui 0.1 MWp, EDF Renouvelables 5 MWp; GDS 4.8 MWp, Engie and VSB in Spain

The electricity distributor Planète Oui launches the operation of a solar power plant in the Vend&e acute;e. It is

the first commissioning of its project of six installations, each with 100 kWp installed on the roofs of farm buildings or shaded areas.

This is the start of an own supply, whereas until now supply agreements have been concluded with small producers.

Planet Yes has some 80,000 customers for around 500 GWh.

EDF Renouvelables commissions 5 MW in French Guiana with a storage system. This plant (Toucan 2) will double the capacity of the first installation, bringing the total to 10 MWp.

A subsidiary of Générale du Solaire (GDS) has launched a solar power plant project in the commune of Guignen. The local semi-public company Energ'iV is acquiring the company that will build and operate this 4.8 MWp (5.5 GWh/year) plant when it comes on stream in February 2021.

This acquisition reflects the local authorities' desire to take over the energy autonomy of the Vallons de Vilaine region.

Engie Spain will supply 262 GWh for ten years to the Spanish company Visalia, which will be able to market the energy to its customers.

VSB, a subsidiary of Germany's VSB Holding, has signed an agreement with Spain's TW Solar. VSB will finance, build, operate and own 100 MWp of the portfolio of Spanish solar developer TW Solar.
