Neoen will build and manage the future battery chosen by AEMO in Australia.

After winning the construction of a 300 MW battery, Neoen was awarded a 250 MW grid services contract by the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO). This storage unit will be located close to the substation in Geelong, in the State of Victoria. It will be built in collaboration with Tesla, using Megapack technology, and network operator AusNet Services.

The battery will increase the capacity of the existing interconnector between the states of Victoria and New South Wales by 250 MW, particularly during the summer months.
