Nine-bar cells at SolarWelt

Germany's future PV panel manufacturer SolarWelt has ordered machines to produce strips for cell production.

half-cut mono-PERC (166 x 83 mm), with nine busbars. The challenge is to position nine narrow ribbons precisely on the small bearings at high speed. Production of 400 MW will start in thefirst quarter of 2021 in Thuringia.
