Iberdrola to build 328 MW of solar power in Extremadura

Spain's Iberdrola is to build 328 MW of solar power in Extremadura (south-west of Madrid). This plant will supply 550 GWh per year, of which 200 GWh will be purchased by Orange.

for its Spanish activities for twelve years. The rest will be sold through other purchase contracts, or on the market under the Spanish guarantee of origin system.

Other plants or projects are larger: 500 MWp from the Núñez de Balboa project in the south in Badajoz, and by 2021 the 590 MWp Francisco Pizarro project. A month ago, Solarcentury inaugurated the 300 MW Talayuela Solar plant.
