Amtech failed to exit the solar sector
After selling SoLayTec, Amtech's subsidiary specialising in atomic layer deposition (ALD) machines, in July 2019, Amtech was unable to sell its solar unit despite a year's discussion. This activity
has been entrusted to a Dutch foundation which will be responsible for the sale of these assets.

Editor's note This failure should come as no surprise! Which American or European companies are interested in buying solar production assets? Only the Chinese might be interested. They prefer to buy out bankrupt companies. We must therefore expect this activity to disappear.
