Solar roof on an electric delivery van

A Dutch company, Bluekens, fitted a solar roof on an electric delivery van. This addition provides energy

to the cooling and freezing equipment of the van. It offers PV power ranging from 440 W to 1,400 W which charges a battery that powers the refrigeration equipment.

Previously, Korean Hyundai presented the Sonata vehicle including solar roofs, bonnets and body kits. With six hours of charging in full sunlight, the vehicle can cover 1,300 km per year thanks to its solar charge (3 to 4 km per day).

Last July, Toyota presented a Prius with a solar-powered body.
