American residential solar energy set a new record in the 3rd quarter
American residential solar power set a new record in the third quarter with 712 MW installed, including 300 MW in California. Fifteen states also set records
over this period. All segments combined, 2.6 GW were installed during these three months, an increase of 45% over the comparable period of 2018.
Total installed solar capacity reached 71.3 GW, of which 45.5 GW was under contract.
Wood Mackenzie estimates that 13 GW will have been installed in the United States in 2019 (+23% over 2018).
