EIB to redirect its lending to RE
The European Investment Bank (EIB) plans to disinvest in fossil fuels and to transfer its investment capacity, endowed with several billion euros each year, to storage and renewable energies. The EIB would direct its loans to the fight against climate change in Europe. Over the past five years, the EIB has injected €50bn into the energy sector.
