Chinese panel exports in the first half of the year from the ten main players
Chinese manufacturers have been forced to turn to exports in early 2019. This is the consequence of the mediocre economic situation in China, where only 11.4 GW (down 53% on last year) was installed in six months. Some of these producers
have managed to considerably increase their exports: JinkoSolar and JA Solar (+ 33 %) as well as Risen (+ 71 %). The other companies were less successful. These increases explain the desire of the companies to considerably increase their production capacities, especially as the Chinese market should pick up again after the decisions of the Chinese authorities to eliminate subsidies and let the companies find outlets on their own

NDLR These figures are interesting: the 28.6 GW exported are added to the installations in China (11.4 GW), i.e. 40 GW. To this should be added the exports of Trina Solar and those of smaller companies (beyond the top ten). We would reach 47 GW produced in China in the first half of the year (see Chinese production in the first half of the year. Comtec wants to withdraw from the market). This is well below the annual production capacity of the manufacturers which was 175 GW at the end of 2018 (i.e. 87 GW over a half year), to which should be added the recent start-ups. A utilization rate (at most) of 54% is low and indicates that many manufacturers are in difficulty.
In this table, LONGI's production has been taken into account and not only the part exported cf LONGi achieves a net margin of 14.2% in the first half of the year and accelerates its investments in capacity
There is a contradiction between the two texts: here, the volume exported has decreased whereas the company claims that they have tripled
