EIA plans to install 4.3 GW of large solar power plants for electricity companies in 2019
The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) predicts that by 2019, 23.7 GW of electric power will be commissioned, and that at the same time
8.3 GW will be withdrawn from it. The new capacities coming from electricity companies are wind (46%), natural gas (34%), solar PV (18%, i.e. 4.3 GW).
Other new residential and commercial installations will come on stream for a volume of 3.9 GW, for a total of 8.2 GW of installations in 2019.

Editor's note The figures from the various American agencies really don't match up. The United States installed 10.6 GWp and 9.6 GWp in 2017 and 2018. The year 2019 should be a period of intense installations due to the abolition of the 30% federal tax credit at the end of 2020. PV Magazine estimates that this year's installations will amount to 18 GWp. This figure is double that of the American administration!
