Between 7% and 9% of new buildings in Germany have a solar system
In Germany, the EuPD Research study found that only 9% of new buildings in the period 2016-mid 2018 had a solar system of less than 10 kWp.
Of course,
not all buildings are suitable for photovoltaic installation. However, for the 175,000 single-family houses built during this period, there were only 12,000 new PV installations, i.e. 7% of the total.
EuPD therefore finds that the installation of PV systems rarely takes place during the year of construction of the houses. There is a huge potential for solar+storage construction.
