Electricity sales agreement for 660 MW in Spain-Portugal

Spain's Cox Energy has signed an agreement to sell 660 MW of electricity (495 MW in Spain and 165 MW in Portugal). The buyer

is the Spanish electricity supplier Audax. The solar power plants are expected to be operational in 2020 and would cost €400m.

This agreement follows the announcement in December of the British company Foresight in Spain. Other announcements have been made in Portugal since the Portuguese government approved 756 MW at the end of 2017. In Spain, in addition to the 3.9 GW awarded at last summer's auction, construction proposals have been made by Ellomay, Solar Venture, Baywa Re, Enel and Hive Energy .
