The Indian company Topaz Solar acquires equipment for the manufacture of bi-facial panels.
The Indian company Topaz Solar has signed an agreement to purchase bi-facial panel manufacturing equipment from Appolon Solar. This will provide
technical know-how and sales support in Europe. The equipment will be delivered between next December and February 2019.
Out of the initial capacity of 500 MW, Topaz Solar will produce 100 MW of two-sided panels and 400 MW of single-sided panels. Later on, Topaz Solar plans to increase its panel production capacity to 1.2 GW, and cell production capacity to 500 MW in the state of Odisha in north-eastern India.
