The 2017 installations in Belgium
In 2017, the installations in Belgium increased by
264 MW, 55% more than in 2016 (170 MW). Flanders has installed 193 MW (73% of the total), Wallonia 33 MW (25%) and the Brussels region 5 MW (2%). 86 % of the new installations are residential.
This brings the country's capacity to 3.8 GW, of which 2.8 GW in Flanders, 1 GW in Wallonia and 0.06 GW in Brussels.
