A new perovskite solar cell design.
Chinese researchers have developed a new design for a perovskite solar cell.
The solar cell uses CsSnI3 perovskite, which is known for its
and its near-infrared emissions. By simulating the device with various electron transport layers (ETLs) and hole transport layers (HTLs), they determined that the optimum cell could be created using a titanium oxide (TiO2) ETL and a nickel(II) oxide (NiOx) HTL.
This new design promises an efficiency of 31.09%.
