Development of software to link self-generation and the grid
Fraunhofer ISE and the EMI have developed software that allows energy-intensive companies to combine self-generated electricity from renewable sources - and to use it to generate electricity from other sources.
This means that it is possible to combine the power from the grid - usually photovoltaic - with the electricity from the grid and to compensate for fluctuations by means of battery storage.
