Solar and wind power stations in China's deserts
China plans to build solar and wind power plants with a capacity of 450 GW in the Gobi desert and other desert regions. China will also need
coal-fired power stations and ultra-high-voltage transmission lines to support the stable operation of the grid.
China aims to increase the country's installed wind and solar capacity to more than 1,200 GW by 2030.
