The Latin American solar market is expected to almost double in 2016 to reach 2.3 GW, up from 1.3 GW last year

The Latin American solar market should almost double in 2016 to reach 2.3 GW, compared to 1.3 GW last year (Chile participated for 521 MW and Central America for 495 MW). Mexico and Brazil are considered as the main markets with huge long-term potential: Brazil has a project portfolio of 2.4 GW, but the 2016 installations would only be 400 to 500 MW.
