Is it worthwhile to use a heat pump in the United States?
According to MassCEC (the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center), the heat pump is a home heating solution that can replace gas. It is suitable for
cold climates. It can be installed in both new and renovated houses. 95% of those who have had such an appliance were satisfied with the heating comfort. The only drawback is that the unit does not provide hot water, which requires an accessory unit.
In new homes, the average cost was about $14,000, and in existing buildings and renovations, $20,000.
