2015 facilities in the United States
Bloomberg claims that there was more photovoltaic (7.3 GW) or wind (8.5 GW) installed capacity in the US in 2015 than new gas capacity (6.0 GW). 11 GW of coal-fired power plants have been withdrawn.
Photovoltaic power (7.3 GW installed in 2015) is divided between large (4.4 GW), residential (1.7 GW) and commercial (1.2 GW) power plants
