The Indian Ministry of New Energies has drawn up a project for the environmental and social management of solar parks.
The Indian Ministry of New Energies has drawn up a project for the environmental and social management of the solar parks that are gradually being installed in the country. Already, 27 plants of 500 MW or more have been identified. The main objectives will be:
To establish clear procedures and methodologies for environmental and social planning, review, approval and implementation of the sub-projects
To specify the roles, responsibilities and reporting procedures necessary for the management of environmental and social concerns related to the sub-projects
To identify the training, capacity building and technical assistance needed to successfully implement the provisions of the CGES
