Italy is spending €1.1 billion on agrivoltaics and €2 billion on energy communities and storage as part of the €220 billion post-Covid recovery plan.
Italy wants to make its agricultural sector more competitive by reducing energy supply costs "currently estimated at over 20% of variable costs."
In total, Italy has decided to spend €23.8 billion of EU recovery funds on renewable energy, hydrogen, smart grids and mobility.
