Italvolt wants to build a battery production plant
Italvolt wants to build a plant for the production of batteries for electric vehicles with a capacity of 70 GWh. A site is sought in the Peninsula.
The first phase of the project should be completed by the end of 2024. Once built, the plant will be the largest of its kind in Europe and the 12th largest in the world. In Europe, there are currently at least three similar giga-plants at different stages of development: Tesla in Berlin, Verkor in Rodez and Northvolt in Sweden.
