Chinese panel manufacturer Risen Energy

has just acquired a silicon production unit with a capacity of 12,000 tonnes. It will be modernised next year and will also produce N-type cells. Thus, the company is becoming a little more integrated.

Panel manufacturers are calling on the government to relax the limits on photovoltaic glass. They claim that the limits imposed on solar glass production two years ago, to avoid overproduction, are now causing a shortage in the industry: it is shutting down production lines, delaying the execution of orders, and preventing power plants from being connected to the grid.
