A new experience of agrovoltaics in Belgium

A new study of PV installations on pear trees is taking place in Flanders (Belgium). The researchers want to know the effect of these panels on the trees and their production. The panels

of 185 W were installed at a height of 4.6 metres. They replace part of the hail protection nets.

The selected panels are equipped with transparent foils and 156 x 156 mm silicon cells with an efficiency of 21%. The 185 W panels have 36 cells, 4 frontally in 9 rows, giving a transparency of 40%.
