New micro solar cell in CIGS
Scientists from the University of Luxembourg and the nanotechnology laboratory in Portugal have designed a new copper, indium, gallium and (di)selenide (CIGS) micro solar cell for photovoltaic devices.
with micro-concentrator (CPV). They used a zone-selective electroplating process to save materials. It has a conversion efficiency of 5.2% and a high open circuit voltage.
