Advantages of heterojunction metal-clad panels
In the Netherlands, scientists have claimed that a metal-encapsulated heterojunction solar panel could offer a 4% performance improvement over conventional heterojunction panels,
and that it would reduce the cost of electricity by 3% (OECA).
The efficiency of solar cells on six-inch silicon wafers has exceeded 23%.
TNO has already identified cell producers to demonstrate the feasibility of manufacturing on an industrial pilot line.
