NEC closes its battery subsidiary
The Japanese company NEC has decided to close its subsidiary NEC Energy Solutions. The latter is a battery integrator that has had some success, but has never been profitable.

will complete ongoing projects and meet its operations and maintenance obligations until March 2030

Editor's note That NEC ES has never been a beneficiary is not surprising as the market was just starting up. It was at the moment when the market was booming that NEC closed its subsidiary! There will soon be buyers to acquire its goodwill and products at the moment when the rising wave of storage requests appears.
