In the United States, job losses in RE reached 594,000 (17% of the sector).
In the United States, job losses in the renewable energy sector have reached 594,000 as a result of the pandemic. As a proportion of the total workforce,
job losses in renewable energy (13%), energy storage (14%) and clean fuels (26%) have been considerable.
These 594,000 are to be compared with the 3.4 million workers in the sector at the end of 2019 (17% of the total). He reports that the sector has lost double the number of jobs it had created since 2017.
