Is it possible to use the heat from solar roofs?
Researchers at the Polytechnic University of Madrid have been studying how to store the energy produced by solar roofs in the form of heat. This would then be
transformed into electricity when the sun is not shining. The system is equipped with a highly efficient thermal heat pump and solar thermal collectors.
This process reduces electricity bills by 70%, but the return on investment is between 12 and 15 years.
