Some difficulties for Italian solar professionals

Green energy representatives in Italy urged the government this week to minimise the impact of the pandemic on the industry since 10 March when the country entered a state of total lockdown.

The ANIE Rinnovabili association mentions the efforts of promoters to obtain guarantees from financial institutions and project authorisations from regulatory bodies. There are also problems with the supply of components and connection requests.

ANIE Rinnovabili proposed to delay the next renewable auction from 31 May 2020 and to grant 180-day extensions to the winners of the previous auctions.

Italy wants to increase from the 20 GW currently installed to 50 GW in 2030.
