A lithium deposit in Spain
Australian company Infinity Lithium has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the European Battery Alliance to promote its lithium mine project
in San José, Extremadura (Spain). This would be the first lithium project to receive European funding, but it has already met with opposition from environmentalists and local residents.

Editor's note Even if there are strong objections, it is interesting to note that lithium also exists in Europe and that the dependence is not total.
It should be noted that other lithium deposits exist in the north of Portugal: exploitation projects are under study.
