Merger of two vanadium flux battery manufacturers

The two manufacturers of vanadium flux batteries, the American Avalon and the British RedT will merge. Avalon claims to have 160 systems installed worldwide.

The company has moved from craft manufacturing to factory production. It has joined forces with NEXTracker.

RedT has secured a contract with Bushveld Minerals, a major vanadium mining company, and has also partnered with Statkraft, the Norwegian renewable energy giant, to supply flow batteries for a solar storage project for commercial customers.
