Dye-sensitised solid-state solar cell presented by Ricoh

Japan's Ricoh presented a dye-sensitised semiconductor solar cell for integration in sensors and consumer electronics. It can generate

electricity from the interior light.

Dye sensitised solar cells have been of interest to scientists for years because of their potential for low-cost manufacturing.

Swedish startup Exeger is developing dye-sensitised solar cells for similar applications.
