Renewable energy transport is the main problem in the United States.
The transport of renewable energy is the main problem emerging in the United States. An increasing number of states and power companies are setting targets for the supply of only renewable energy. They would need transmission lines that do not exist:
is that there is a mismatch between the place of production and the place of consumption. The cheapest wind energy comes from the large plains in the centre of the country; the cheapest solar energy comes from the south-west and south-east regions. Both products need to be transported to reach distant coastal markets. New England, New York and California bear the brunt of this pressure, with estimated demand for clean energy expected to exceed projected supply by 2030.
