Low installations in China in 2019
The AECEA (the Asia-Europe Council for Clean Solar Energy) estimates that China will add between 23 and 31 GW of solar installations in 2019. These low figures
comes from the November PV installations, which reached only 1.5 GW, after the 17.5 GW commissioned in the first ten months. This is in stark contrast to the authorities' estimates at the beginning of the year.
Monitoring of provincial RE targets will begin this year. This could have an adverse effect on facilities in 2020.

Editor's note The weakness of the Chinese installations in December makes us envisage an annual level of 22 to 24 GW. This affects manufacturers who are mainly domestic suppliers. They will find it difficult to survive. On the other hand, the development of foreign sales of the major brands will compensate for the weakness of domestic sales.
