China officially installed 16 GW in the first nine months of 2019

One week after the Chinese organisation CPIA (Photovoltaic installations in China in the third quarter: very few in number), the state body NEA (National Energy Administration) has officialized photovoltaic installations for the first nine months at 15.99 GW, its lowest nine-month level since 2016. This figure breaks down into 7.7 GWp

for photovoltaic power plants and 8.3 GW for distributed systems. At the end of September 2019, the total cumulative capacity of photovoltaic installations in China reached 190 GWp.
Photovoltaic electricity generation reached 171.5 billion kWh in China between January and September, an increase of 28% year-on-year to 3.25 billion kWh. Only 1.90% was lost mainly due to the lack of connection to local power grids, the NEA said.
The total additional capacity of photovoltaic installations in 2019 is estimated at 25 GWp, industry sources said.
For comparison, wind installations were 13.1 GW (+4%) in nine months and total installations were 198 GW. They generated 291 billion kWh

Editor's note For almost the same volume of PV and wind power installations, wind power production is 70% higher than solar power production!
It is also surprising that the 2019 forecast for solar installations is so low. Fortunately, Chinese manufacturers have been able to find outlets abroad, as sales in China have been halved in two years! This policy of the authorities has led to the organisation of panel sales around foreign markets and thus to the selection of the most offensive manufacturers in the conquest of markets.
