Austria wants to reach 100% RE in 2030

Just before the elections in Austria, the parties decided to abolish the sun tax, and to allocate an annual amount of €36m to support photovoltaic installations and energy storage.

The government's goal is to achieve fully renewable energy by 2030. According to the calculations of the trade union PVA, about 15 GW of solar energy production capacity would be needed. Austria currently has around 10% of this amount.
