Half of European countries would not reach their 2020 RE targets
The European Court of Auditors estimates that France, like half of European countries, will be unable to meet its 2020 targets for renewable energy. France
must increase the share of renewable energy by 6.7% to meet its targets within 18 months.

The Court recommends encouraging auctions and improving the conditions for deployment, in particular by remedying certain particularly restrictive land-use planning rules, slow administrative procedures and network shortcomings.
