Producer prices on 9 July
The trend according to EnergyTrend M6 cells are becoming widespread. Panel prices are on the verge of rebounding
Silicon :
According to EnergyTrend The price of silicon has risen slightly again. The price gap narrowed to between RMB 57 and 61 per kg. This is explained by the increase in wafer production capacity, which increases the demand for silicon. Added to this are furnace shutdowns for maintenance, which reduces production. As a result, the supply is almost insufficient
Brochures :
According to EnergyTrend : Market demand has increased this week but prices have remained stable. The major suppliers have already signed their contracts for July. The price range for G1/M6 mono-Si wafers, in particular, remained between 2.38-2.53 RMB/pc and 2.45-2.62 RMB/pc.
There is no real demand for low yield multicrystalline wafers. On the other hand, the demand for medium to high yield wafers has recovered somewhat. The price fluctuates around 1.18 RMB per piece.
The cells :
According to EnergyTrend A demand has been emerging since the beginning of June. There is even a shortage, which encourages professionals to be confident. Some manufacturers have even received orders for August. Demand is moving towards the M6 size due to major Chinese domestic projects, while demand for the G1 size is weak. Therefore the range of trading is important. The price difference between G1 and M6 was 0.02 RMB /W.
The large inserts are the driving force behind the improvement in demand. Manufacturers offering panels of 500 W and more are entering the market. It is expected that developers will be encouraged to adopt this type of product in the future.
The panels :
According to EnergyTrend The downward trend continued. The price for foreign markets has not changed much, while the increase in production capacity is putting pressure on panel prices in China. In particular, the prices of high-efficiency mono-Si (315 - 320 W) and higher efficiency (>320 W / 385 W) have fallen by 0.01 RMB / W each. And their average prices fell to 1.52 RMB /W and 1.54 RMB /W. It is estimated that module prices will slowly stabilise in the future.
The pandemic continues in the United States; it has slowed down in Brazil. Downward pressure continues in Brazil and India. The pandemic will have an effect on demand from abroad.

An assessment of the energy situation by IRENA
Global investment in renewable energy is steadily increasing. They were less than €50 million per year in 2004. They have reached 288 billion dollars in 2018, 90% of which will go into photovoltaic solar and wind power. Despite this expansion, investment in coal and gas-fired power generation capacity is still three times higher than in renewable energy.
