Strong criticism of the UK government's energy policy
The public consultation opened by the UK government on solar policy has drawn criticism from many quarters and many associations: the Renewable Energy Association (REA) reports that three quarters of Britons are in favour of renewables. One of the most critical voices came from the mayor of London, who reiterated his call for a slower reduction in subsidies (and therefore the feed-in tariff). He reminds people that they want to be able to make their own choices about the costs and sources of electricity, which affects them in their daily lives.
