Preparing for the future of hydrogen

At the Hyvolution trade show, hydrogen producers are forging closer links with producers of electrofuels (e-kerosene, e-methanol, e-ammonia, e-methane), which are essential if Europe is to meet its targets for reducing aviation emissions by 2050.

The H2DEC consortium (for low-carbon hydrogen) was launched on 30 January. An innovation section has been set up to build and strengthen the French hydrogen value chain. It involves identifying missing links, developing certain technological building blocks, launching demonstrators, etc.

The H2DEC programme is designed to give a boost to innovations arising from research projects in public laboratories. The aim is to support promising innovation projects that are currently in the premature or maturing stages, in order to facilitate their transfer to economic players and/or the creation of start-ups with a high industrial impact.
