CRE tariffs for installations of less than 500 kW
The CRE has published the new tariffs and incentives for photovoltaic installations on buildings, hangars or shading, with a peak power output of 500 kW or less.
These new tariffs and incentives apply to projects for which a complete application for connection has been made in the tariff quarters from1 August 2023 to 31 October 2023, known as tariff quarter no. 7, and from1 November 2023 to 31 January 2024, known as tariff quarter no. 8.
On 22 December last, the government published the tariff decree setting the conditions for the purchase of electricity produced by installations installed on buildings, hangars or shading systems using photovoltaic solar energy.The order amends the previous "S21" tariff order of 6 October 2021. The CRE issued a favourable opinion on the tariff order in a decision dated 19 October 2023, and introduced a number of changes to the conditions for supporting photovoltaic installations on buildings with a capacity of less than 500 kWp:
modification of the indicator for monitoring the achievement of development volume targets ;
an overall increase in the Order's target objectives and a new breakdown of these objectives between power segments;
catching up (or subtracting) the backlog (or surplus) in project development from one quarter to the next, compared with the targets set;
the homogenisation of degressivity curves between power segments;
the revision of the normative level used for the reduction in costs per technological learning (now borne by the BN coefficient) from -5% to -1% per year.
The freeze on tariff degressivity, introduced by the Order of 28 July 2022 and extended by the Order of 4 July 2023, ends with the setting of tariffs for tariff quarter 7.
The tables below show, for tariff quarters 7 and 8, the levels of tariffs and premiums as established in application of the Order of 22 December 2023 in mainland France.
