A guide to best practice for installing floating solar power plants
SolarPower Europe has published best practice for the installation of floating solar power plants with practical advice for project developers. It shows the expertise gained from years of experience in developing such plants.
In 2022,
Cumulative global floating capacity reached 5.7 GW, 70% of which was built in China. Japan, South Korea and Europe account for the remaining 30%. The potential for the installation of floating systems is estimated at between 3 and 7 TW, according to the IEA-PVPS, which envisages the deployment of 60 GW by 2030.
