China has installed 143 GW of solar power in ten months + investment in production
In the first ten months of 2023, China installed 143 GW of solar power (compared with 87 GW for the whole of last year), including 13.6 GW in October alone. Investment in energy production
Solar energy investment totalled RMB 269 billion, up 71% year-on-year.
As China's electricity grid had been rapidly modernised, there was no significant reduction in the supply of solar energy. Total installed photovoltaic capacity in China reached 540 GW at the end of October, according to figures published by the country's National Energy Administration.
