LONGi lowers its prices, immediately followed by TCL Zhonghuan

In its updated price list, LONGi has reduced the price of its inserts by 30%. The 150 µm M10 format has been reduced by

6.3 RMB ($0.89) to 4.36 RMB ($0.62), down 31%. The price of 150 µm M6 wafers fell from RMB 5.44 to RMB 3.81 (-30%), or $0.54/piece.

The price of panels fell to 1.50 RMB/W ($0.21/W).

Competition between LONGi and TCL is increasing. The price of LONGi's 128 mm wafers is 12.8% cheaper than TCL's 5 RMB after the latest adjustment. Speculation is therefore rife that TCL will make the next adjustment.

Vendors recently announced that wafer prices were changing day by day. Last week, they seemed to be stabilising at 4-4.2 RMB/piece. This week, however, a price of 3.80 RMB/piece was seen.
