The Dutch public agency has allocated 2.8 GW for 2022

In 2022, the last call for tenders issued by RVO, the Dutch public agency that manages the SDE++ programme, allocated 1,051 MW of photovoltaic capacity for commercial and industrial solar systems, and 862 MW

for large-scale photovoltaic power plants (on land or water). In total, the RVO has allocated 2.8 GW.

The Dutch government had allocated a budget of €13 billion for the previous year's cycle, but only distributed €11.9 billion. This is because photovoltaics is hampered by congestion on the electricity grid: an applicant for a subsidy generally does not receive approval from the operator to inject the energy into the grid. This is a prerequisite for obtaining subsidies.

The country reached a cumulative installed photovoltaic capacity of 16.5 GW at the end of June 2022, according to the most recent statistics from CBS, the national statistics agency. This indicates that the country had installed 3,803 MW in 2021 and 3,882 MW in 2022.

Editor's note It's a shame to have installers, subsidies and not be able to feed the energy produced into the grid.
