Renewable energy production is set to be cut by 40% in Australia by 2022
Renewable energy production has been reduced by 40% in Australia by 2022, because there is not enough transmission capacity to transport it (the size of the network is insufficient).
Australia has found itself in a rather tricky position, as it needs more renewable energy production. At the same time, it is simultaneously limiting the amount of renewable generation in large areas of the national grid. Added to this is the fact that some commentators argue that new transmission is the only way out of this situation, but Australia's framework for assessing transmission projects is inadequate.
